Leroy Hutson

After successfully taking over from Curtis Mayfield's role as singer with The Impressions in 1971, Leroy Hutson quit the group in late 1972 to pursue a solo career on Curtom.During his eight year stay with the label, in addition to writing and producing for other Curtom artists, Hutson notched up thirteen hit singles of his own, in addition to releasing seven solo albums.In recent years, Leroy Hutson's 70's work has been re-discovered by a whole new generation of listeners and currently enjoys a cult following in funk circles."Feel The Spirit", released by Curtom in 1976, was Hutson's most successful album for the label and includes the hits "Feel The Spirit (In '76) and "Lover's Holiday".
